The Jamshedpur Kennel Club is organizing the Annual 59th, 60th & 61st Championship Dog Show on January 6th – 8th, 2016 at JRD Tata Sports Complex (Hockey Ground). Jamshedpur Kennel Club - the only Kennel Club in Bihar and Jharkhand which is recognized and functions under the aegis of The Kennel Club of India. It has the distinction of being recognized as one of the leading Pointed and non-Pointed Shows.

The much appreciated and awaited Dog Show forms is part of the Tata Steel initiative Jamshedpur FEST. Mr. T V Narendran, Managing Director, Tata Steel, India & SEA will be the Chief Guest for the inauguration on January 6th at 8:30 am. The inauguration ceremony will be attended by senior dignitaries of the District Administration, Tata Motors, Associated Companies and eminent Citizens, etc.

The show would be conducted like earlier years as per KCI rules in 10 groups and 135 classes. This year, a record 315 entries have been received from all over the country. This year, the Championship Dog Show will have around 32 breed instead of 26 in the past year.

Apart from the popular breeds like German Shephard, Labrador, Golden Retriever, Doberman, Dalmatian, Boxer, Beagles, Daschund, Mastif’s, pugsthis year we would be having some special breeds like

1. Akita
2. Afghan Hound
3. Siberian Husky
4. Maltese
5. Miniature Schnauzer
6. Alaskan Malamute
7. Kerry Blue Terrier
8. Che Wa Wa
9. Fox Terrier
10. Whippet

Etc.

This year the Obedience and All Breed Show would be judged by three eminent judges:-

1. Ms Maria Lucia from Brazil
2. Mr Simon Sim from Philippines
3. Mr K K Trivedi from India

The inaugural Show would comprise of welcoming of the Guests, speech by the President and Chief Guest, march-past by the Tata Steel & Motors Kennels, a walk by school kids with Dog’s all dressed up for the occasion and finally an agility display by the Tata Steel & Motor’s Kennel’s dogs.  The Obedience Show would be held after the inaugural function on 6th Jan ’17 from 9.30am to 6.30pm and followed by the All-Breed Show on 7th & 8th Jan’17 from 8.00am to 6.30 pm on both days. The Prize distribution for the All Breeds Show Line-up and Best in Breeds would be held on 8th Jan’17 at 6.30 pm where the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony would be Mr A B Lall , Plant Head , Tat Motors.
