The operational area of the unit spans three blocks rich in mineral wealth and natural beauty in the Keonjhar district of Orissa. Inhabited by the Ho and the Bhuiyan tribals, the 30 villages it caters to are scattered and poorly linked, making the task of social and economic development work extremely challenging.
