Tata Steel’s commitment to the communities located in the vicinity of its Noamundi Iron Mines are addressed by the Noamundi unit of TSRDS. It reaches out to 42 villages comprising primarily of the Ho tribals, a marginalised section of society. Though the area receives adequate rainfall, farmers have been unable to make the best use of this resource.
